SELF TOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

REFUNDABLE CREDIT CARD DEPOSIT required at pickup. Debit cards are not acceptable for this. The original cardholder must be present to sign the original contract prior to hire. No exceptions. This amount is $1500. Drivers must be aged between 21 - 75 years and hold a full licence without restrictions.

2.2% merchant fees apply to all credit/debit card transactions. COLLISION DAMAGE LOSS LIABILITY $3000.

AWNING DAMAGE and any damage to its attachments and fittings are the sole responsibility of the hirer and excluded from any insurance cover.

ONCE BOOKED you will be emailed a confirmation, which you will need to print and bring with you. We can only provide this to the customer who presents this "Confirmation of Booking". Ensure you enter your email details correctly. If not received, check your junk mail and security settings.

CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS WEEK BOOKINGS (Premium Vans only): For any period including Christmas or New Year’s Day, a minimum hire charge of 14 days applies. You may book for less than 14 days, but the charge remains the same. Bookings under 14 days will only be accepted from 1 December for remaining vans. Priority is given to longer bookings.

INFORMATION AND HOW TO USE: Please note we do not provide in-person education on the use of the caravan. We supply an information sheet outlining basic details. Online tutorials are available on our website.

Special Exclusions: Pickup/return times on public holidays, Sundays, or adjacent days may change. If altered, we will notify you. We aim to provide your preferred times but must also consider adjacent bookings.

Additional Items and Charges: After-hours fee for collections outside Monday to Friday 9am–5pm is $55. Saturdays $55, Sundays and public holidays $110. This will be charged to your card if applicable after booking.

INTERSTATE / Kangaroo Island LEVY: $10 per day of hire if your district of use includes interstate. Significant fees apply if not prepaid.

Terms & Conditions Onsite

1. A refundable security deposit is required for this caravan. Deposit amount and type are included in your quote and refunded after return.

2. The delivery site must be flat and hard-sealed. Vans and towing vehicles have low clearance. If the site is unsuitable, delivery cannot occur, and you must choose another. No refund applies if the driver deems the site unsuitable.

3. Site must be accessible and not behind a roller door.

4. Photo ID must match the name on the card used for the deposit.

5. The caravan must remain onsite at all times.

6. Hirer is responsible for insurance.

7. Insurable amount is noted in your contract.

8. We do not set up caravans on delivery. You must pack before collection for liability reasons. The driver will show basic features, and information is also available via our tutorials or a Google search.

RELOCATION: If you wish to change sites, we can arrange this at an additional quoted cost. Please provide as much notice as possible.

HIRE PERIOD: One day equals 24 hours. 25% of the daily rate applies per hour over this time up to 4 hours, after which a full day rate applies.

IF CREDIT CARD BOND/DEPOSIT REQUIRED: Debit cards are not acceptable for bonds. A refundable credit card deposit is required before dispatch. Credit cardholders undergo a credit check, hence the requirement. The amount varies by unit. Cards accepted: Visa and Mastercard (no American Express). The original cardholder must be present with photo ID to sign the hire agreement. If you do not have a credit card, another person may complete this on your behalf but becomes responsible for any damage or loss. Cash, debit cards, or other forms of deposit are not accepted. Debit cards can be used for other payments.

DISCOUNTS for LONGER TERM Rentals: 4 and 12-week renewable contracts available. Pay delivery, pickup, refundable deposit, and first two weeks’ rent upfront. Ongoing payments can be made fortnightly. Long-term hirers have priority. Vans marked “Not Available” are typically on long-term hire. Availability is updated when returned.

PETS: Pets are welcome provided the van is returned in the same condition as delivered.

BOOKINGS: A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking as stated in your quote.

CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS BOOKINGS: Same 14-day minimum hire rule applies as above.

PICK UP AND DELIVERY TIMES: Monday to Friday: Morning (10am–1pm) or Afternoon (1pm–4pm). Caravan park deliveries occur after 1pm; collections between 8.30am–10am. Some distant locations may have special times, which will be advised. SMS notifications sent ~30 minutes prior.

SATURDAY SURCHARGE: $55 payable upfront for Saturday deliveries or collections.

SUNDAY/PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGE: $110 payable upfront for these days. Morning collections may not be guaranteed. Days before/after public holidays may also vary at our discretion.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD FEES: 2.2% fee applies to all payments, including deposits, as charged by our bank.

CLEANING: Vans must be returned clean and free of rubbish. Cleaning fees will be deducted from your deposit if required. Please clean thoroughly to avoid charges.

DAMAGE AND INSURANCE: No insurance is provided for onsite caravans. Responsibility rests with the hirer from delivery to collection. Ensure you have adequate insurance. Report any pre-existing damage immediately in writing with evidence. Keep the caravan secure until collected.

DEPOSIT REFUND: Refunds are processed weekly and returned to the original credit card within 14 days (excluding weekends and public holidays). Delays may occur if the van is returned in poor condition or issues arise.

3. The site must be readily accessible and not behind any roller door. The caravan cannot be parked behind any locked gate, fence or door unless access is always provided to Pennywise Rentals or their representative. The caravan must be parked at least 1.5 metres from any building or vehicle.

4. Photo ID in the same name as the card used for your deposit is required.

5. The caravan must always remain onsite. Only the company or their representative can move the caravan from your site.

6. The hirer will be responsible for insurance. Pennywise Rentals cannot offer insurance advice. The company will provide any information required by the customer to arrange insurance upon request.

7. The insurable amount will be noted on your contract.

8. We do not set up your caravan at delivery. The customer is required to pack before collection due to liability issues. Our driver will show you the caravan features, and you can also find information on our tutorials or by a simple Google search.

9. The customer must allow Pennywise Rentals access to collect the caravan at any time upon request, regardless of the reason. The customer must not inhibit or deny access when requested by the company.

10. The caravan must be maintained, clean, and in good order throughout the hire. If something breaks, you must notify Pennywise Rentals and, if directed, repair it. Any damage to the caravan, regardless of cause, is the responsibility of the customer named on the contract.

RELOCATION: If you wish to change sites during your hire, we can do this for you. The price will be quoted upon request. Please give as much notice as possible.

CARD REQUIREMENTS: A debit or credit card is required for your contract. The original cardholder must be present with photo ID and card before dispatch or at delivery to sign the hire agreement. Personally signed documents are required. If you do not have a credit or debit card, a friend or family member can complete this on your behalf but will be responsible for the rental in the event of default, damage, or loss. This card will be used to process any required payments, including unpaid rental amounts. The card may be tested during your hire period. If the card fails, the contract may be cancelled, and the caravan collected. If a payment is due and not received by the due date, the company will attempt to charge the card on file. If this fails, a declined fee will apply.

DISCOUNTS for LONGER TERM Rentals: 4- and 12-week renewable contracts are available. Prices per fortnight vary between vans. Discounted rates apply only to prepaid rentals. Any payment not cleared to the company account by 5pm on the due day may be charged the full daily rate shown on the caravan page. Pay your delivery and pickup charge, refundable credit card deposit, and first two weeks’ rent in advance. Future payments can be made fortnightly via bank transfer.

Long-term contract holders receive priority. You may request a renewal with written notice at least 14 days before your contract ends. Renewal requests are subject to review of your rental history. Renewal is not guaranteed. If declined, you must make the caravan available for collection at your current contract’s end date. Caravans listed as “Not Available” are usually on long-term hire and will not be open for forward bookings until the current contract ends. Check the “Availability Status” for updates.

PETS: Pets are welcome as long as the van is returned in the same condition it was delivered.

BOOKINGS: To secure the van you want, a non-refundable deposit must be paid at the time of booking as directed in your quote.

CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS WEEK BOOKINGS: Subject to a minimum hire charge of eight days if your rental includes one or both holidays.

PICK UP AND DELIVERY TIMES: Monday to Friday, choose either morning (10am–1pm) or afternoon (1pm–4pm). Exceptions apply for caravan park deliveries (after 1pm) and collections (between 8.30am–10am). Some locations over 25km from the depot may have special times. You will be advised. SMS notifications are sent approximately 30 minutes before delivery or collection.

SATURDAY SURCHARGE: $55, payable upfront for Saturday deliveries or collections.

SUNDAY/PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGE: $110, payable upfront for Sunday or public holiday deliveries or collections. Collections before 12pm cannot be guaranteed. Days before and after public holidays may also have altered pickup or return times at the discretion of Pennywise Rentals.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD FEES: A 2.2% fee applies to all payments, including refundable deposits, matching the processing fee charged by our bank.

CLEANING: Vans are inspected upon return and must be ready for the next hire. Rubbish or leftover items will be disposed of, and cleaning fees deducted from your deposit if necessary. To avoid charges, please clean thoroughly and remove all items at the end of your hire.

DEPOSIT REFUND: Your deposit will be refunded to the original credit card within 14 days. Refunds are processed weekly (excluding weekends and public holidays). Delays may occur if the caravan is returned in poor condition or there are outstanding issues.
